Data Collection and Customer Privacy

The fine print.

Our customers know we take privacy seriously. We talk about it a lot. But sometimes papers get lost or details are forgotten, so here is a copy of our customer privacy policy (just in case). It details the information we collect, how it is used, and what options customers have. If you utilize digital banking you can find a copy of our Digital Banking Privacy Disclosure here.

As a visitor to this website, there are also some things you should know. We value your trust and take your privacy seriously, too. The below talks about how Guardian Bank (“we” or “the bank”) collects and uses information about visitors on www.guardian.bank (“site” or “website”). If you have any questions that are not answered here, please contact us.

Information Collected. We collect information on the site through the use of cookies, a small file placed on your web browser. We use cookies to compile information about visits to our website and to track the results of our marketing and advertising. You may choose to accept or decline cookies using your browser settings.

As part of our information collection, we use third-party cookies, specifically Google Analytics, to gain data from Google’s interest-based advertising and third-party audience data (such as age, gender, and interest). Our data collection includes what type of device is used while on the site (desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.) and what operating system is being run. If you wish to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking, you can visit the Google Ads Manager web page.

Additionally, if you submit a Contact Us form via the website, we will also collect information supplied by you, including your name, phone number, email address, the preferred method of contact, your status as a customer of the bank, and any additional text or messaging regarding your inquiry. This information is used solely to address the website visitor and the nature of the inquiry. It is never sold to a third party or leveraged beyond and the only parties with access to that information are the bank and it’s strategic marketing partners.

Personally Identifiable Information. Information that allows you to be identified as a particular person (such as name, address, or phone number) is considered “personally identifiable information.” We do not collect such data without your consent and we do not merge this information with the aggregate information gathered using Google Analytics.

Information Usage. Information collected through the use of cookies will be used to improve our website, better understand how you interact with content, and keep in contact with you. One way we may keep in contact with you is through the use of ad retargeting. Our site or third-party sites may use the cookie information to present ads to you based on past visits to this or other sites. If you wish to opt-out of receiving these ads, you can visit Google’s Ad Manager web page. We do not sell your information to vendors or other third-party organizations.

Changes to this Privacy Policy. It is the position of the bank to post any changes to this Privacy Policy on this page. Please visit this page to check for changes. Should you have a question about this privacy policy, please contact the bank.
